The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Starting any workout routine is a difficult thing. It is so easy to get derailed.
I started off strong three weeks ago. Then I got sick.
Four days later I got really busy (yeah, I know, not a really good excuse).
Last week I did well again, but then Christmas hit.
So, the good is that during the first 2 1/2 weeks, I lost about 6 pounds.
The bad is that I haven't really worked like I should and I haven't focused on my nutrition like I should.
The ugly is that in the three days since Christmas, I have gained a few pounds back.
So, I have to recommit.
That is a hard thing sometimes. Excercising when you are tired or have other things going on is a very hard thing.
The reality is that it only takes about 30 minutes per day. When I excersise in the morning, I don't don't have to take an extra shower. Anytime Fitness, where I workout, is exactly on the way to the office so I don't have to go anywhere I am not already planning on going. I bought a car (we had been using a single car for our family for about 20 months) so I have no excuse of not having a ride when the weather is too cold or wet. Christmas is over so all the treats are quickly going away.
I am out of excuses so we should really be on track to do this right.
