HCG: Day 9
Well, after gaining .2 pounds yesterday morning, I drank a lot more water (like more than a gallon total) and didn’t have any sodium. I didn’t add salt to any of my meals. As far as I can tell, I was 100% sodium free. I am assuming that helped because I lost more than a pound.
Today, I decided to go light on the salt and drink a lot of water just to be on the safe side. I think I might have had 1/2 teaspoon of salt the entire day.
I measured my gut today. I was at 48 inches when I started 9 days ago. This evening, I was at 47 inches… so, 10 pounds and an inch off my gut in 9 days is a pretty compelling motivation for this diet.
I did take a half an appetite suppressant in the morning and ended up eating my lunch and dinner late. At this point, I am only slightly hungry.
I think I need a few more days before I start testing too many different foods.

the diet
Hi, thanks for sharing your story. Today is my 3rd day on the diet. I'm really struggling. I have been foloowing the guidelines from Pounds and Inches. I didn't notice that you are eating any grossini. Have you decided to cut that out? What kind of appetite suppressant are you using? I'm so worried I won't be able to stick to this. I should have "loaded" more according to directions, and I should have waited until after Easter. I am cooking dinner for 5!!! It's hard not to nimble, but so far, so good. Also, I'm still retaining water. Any advice?
Grossini?
Isn't grossini a breadstick? I don't eat any grain. If it is something else, let me know.
I don't know what Pounds to Inches suggests. I have a few things my doctor suggested. One thing that makes it easy for me is I have a bunch of meat in the freezer that is in single 150 calorie portions. I am starting to find foods I really like (especially a turkey tomato soup that I should post a recipe for).
There is no doubt that it is a bit hard. I am starting to get into a groove. I don't get the severe hunger pangs like I did at the beginning.
At the beginning (before this blog started) I didn't load as per the instructions. I am not yet sure I buy into the exact process. I know that I am losing more per day than I ever have on any diet/excercise program I have done (a lot more). So, there is definitely something to it.
I don't know what appetite suppressant I have. I just take what my doctor gave me.
Don't cheat. When you see the pounds melt away, it will be worth it.
