Shake it up.

Shake it up.

shake it up

When you are in a rut it can be hard, if not impossible, to improve.

You always have to push yourself past a wall to get to the next level.

I have found that in all aspects of life when you change your routine or change your approach, you find that you can make some significant advancements.

When I have worked out in the past, I always felt like there was a point where I stopped progressing. When working out, it is pretty easy to tell when you are no longer seeing improvement… you simply stop hurting. In working out, the old adage of, “no pain, no gain” is very true. If you aren’t hurting, you aren’t improving.

I know that some people think they prefer to think of the concept of, “no pain, no pain.” But no pain means no growth.

This blog post could just as easily be about business, education or other type of growth.

I bring it up in this context because my trainer at Anytime Fitness has a great program that he is putting me through that has caused me to recognize the “gain” after every workout. By the point I start getting accustomed to the exercises, he changes things up.

As a result of being able to shake things up a bit, I am now closer to fitness goals than I have ever been.
